Donald Trump: America’s Fascism Whisperer

by Patrick Devlin A duo of brutish Donald Trump supporters assaulted two silent protesters at a campaign rally in Lowell, MA earlier this week to the triumphalist audience chants of “USA-USA-USA and “Trump-Trump-Trump”. The attack, a video of which has surfaced on the Internet, was aimed at two sign holding event participants who remained silent during their protest and up until their forced removal by Trump hired security personnel. One of the protestors held a sign the read, “America’s already great”. The assault was carried out by two paunchy and angry white middle aged thugs and was egged on by […]

The Imitation of Christ is a Public Safety Violation in Ft. Lauderdale

by Patrick Devlin A 90 year old man was arrested in Ft. Lauderdale for violating the city’s new public safety ordinance as he attempted to bring safety to disenfranchised members of the public. iPhone and you’re known: spooks coming in through Apple’s “back door”

by Patrick Devlin Digital activist Jacob Applebaum (@ioerror), in a wide ranging presentation on what is currently known about the massive government coordinated and private business architected and facilitated uber-surevillance regime that interlopes into all planetary electronic interpersonal communications before the 30th Chaos Communication Congress over this past weekend, provided evidence of the National Security Agency’s creation of a software application that provides a ‘back door’ into all Apple iPhones allowing direct government surveillance of any purchaser of what is Apple’s flagship consumer product. The power-point slide that Applebaum revealed to conferees describes that the US government created Apple iPhone […]

The eternal bloodlust of the spotless brain

The eternal bloodlust of the spotless brain

by Patrick Devlin When my sick brother was fitted with deep brain stimulators to attempt to address some of the most debilitating symptoms of the progressive and cureless brain affliction called Parkinson’s disease there was no real alternative to the treatment that his doctors had prescribed. My brother was 40 at that time, he has since passed. Many understand Parkinson’s disease as an old person’s disease, and for most of my life this was the case. Many are now aware that the illness can afflict younger people (the poster boy for early onset Parkinson’s is the well-known Michael J. Fox). […]

soft totalitarianism : self-censorship and acceptance of corporate surveillance

by Patrick Devlin The revelation from one of the world’s few remaining independent press organizations, the Associated Press, that, subsequent to the federal government’s attempt to criminalize the act of reportage, its traditional sources regarding governmental wrong doing (or just plain government doing) are choosing to keep mum should be of no surprise to the AP, and also to us, the citizenry. When confronted with the specter of rulers who make the game up as they go along their merry way committing both immoral and illegal acts (and also, immoral illegal acts) who then claim that they have self-created authority […]

joint chief fears theoretical alliance between drug smugglers and Islamic terrorists

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, who recently toured several South American countries told reporters of his concerns that today’s drug smugglers will possibly become tomorrow’s terrorist weapon suppliers. Dempsey, as quoted by the Washington Post, said, “It’s both the narcoterrorism activities that we see destabilizing our southern border (and) it’s that network itself that can be used for other purposes — and probably will be.” The Army general theorized, that because the drug smuggling network “can move anything (that will) go to the highest bidder…looking to the future, it’s certainly in our interest to do […]

constitutionless TSA institutes “suspicionless searches”

by Patrick Devlin The federal law enforcement agency called the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has begun to deploy brigades of agents to perform what it calls “suspicionless searches” in several US cities.    A spokesperson for the TSA said that the agency determined that the “presence of officers with explosive detection dogs, radiation monitors” and “other devices” will act as a “deterrent” inside train stations, bus stations and on the streets of American cities.  The spokesperson for the TSA did not specify if the effort was meant to deter terrorism or constitutional democracy. Civil liberty and privacy advocates have questioned both the constitutionality and […]
